Maserati Unveils Project GT4 at Goodwood Festival of Speed
Maserati unveiled Project GT4 for the first time at the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2026, a new racing project built to carry the technical and stylistic DNA of the New GranTurismo onto the track. Developed by Maserati Corse and drawing on experience gained with the Maserati GT2 program, the car is aimed squarely at one of the fastest-growing categories in GT racing, with an ambitious target: a return to competitive racing in 2028.
Project GT4 makes its world debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2026, marking a new chapter in Maserati Corse's racing ambitions.
Built directly on the New GranTurismo's architecture, Project GT4 is powered by the 3.0-litre V6 Nettuno, the same Formula 1-derived, pre-chamber combustion engine found in Maserati's road cars, here reaching outputs of over 700 hp in racing specification. The car sheds roughly 400 kg versus its road-going counterpart, and adds rear-wheel-drive architecture, race-tuned suspension, and a dedicated aerodynamic package, all while retaining the unmistakable design language of the GranTurismo it's born from. Marking the centenary of the Trident, the car debuts in a special livery featuring a large Trident motif running from roof to rear, accompanied by 100 smaller tone-on-tone Tridents. a fitting tribute in the year Maserati celebrates 100 years of racing heritage.
